ABOUT US
The Bricks was founded by proven entrepreneurs and investors. Our founding member, Andrew Craissati, led Richard Branson’s investments across Australia and Asia. He’s also enjoyed over a decade of funding and raising capital for start ups whether across SaaS, crowd-based activities, the shared economies, marketplaces, P2P, cloud computing, DNA-based cosmetics, materials science (recycled plastics), edtech, fintech and a variety of music-related investments. He’s also a chairman of an overseas incubator in London, UK. He’s lived in California, London, Singapore and has been in Florida since 2000: global experiences.
Some of Andrew’s financings include Airsorted, Verve, and Genero. Past significant experiences include several years of corporate finance and strategy work for the leadership of National Geographic and billionaire environmentalist David de Rothschild. In both cases, he was privileged to work with some great leaders.
Our investors include Fortune 100 corporate executives, prominent technologists from Boston, New York and Silicon Valley and, above all else, like-minded entrepreneurs who have understood what it takes to start a business.
The Bricks is a quasi-family office structure managing both proprietary family capital and third party co-investment capital.
OUR APPROACH
The Bricks is looking for people. And ideas. People who think big. Teams who like to act not so big. Companies that like to move seriously fast.
You see, The Bricks wants to invest in and support great start up ideas. Find the next big problem. Create its solution. Validate it with third party expert friends (Is the problem real? Is there a large customer base, which wants to and possibly needs to pay for the solution?). Design it. Build it (prototype). Keep iterating. And then off it goes: launch and spinout.
The Bricks also seeks exceptional early stage post-start up spinouts, which need funding and acceleration. Does a company have ambitious growth plans and goals? Does it need to define and achieve scale? Does it need to leverage partners and skilled individuals? If so, we can offer you all you need: some capital, a lot of rolled up sleeves and with expertise across many disciplines: strategy, go-to-market, product, brand, comms, fundraising and international expansion. You’ll also be helped with analytics, performance marketing and the full length and breadth of a go to market plan. Once launched, you’ll be supported with the analysis of operating metrics, unit economics, lifetime value and CAC calculations. Where relevant, you’ll be guided through cohort analysis.
This isn’t just mentoring. The Bricks will design a bespoke program for each company and each CEO/Founder, created against a clear set of weekly and monthly goals all designed to reach the company’s ultimate expectations.
